What is meant by yoga in Astrology?


Yoga means union of two in yogic science, the same meaning holds good with Astrology also. Rasi,Bhava and Graha are the three limbs of Astrology. Yogas are formed by the combination of either of the two limbs of Astrology. The combination will be as follows:-
Rasi+Graha
If Rahu is placed in Dhanur Rasi,it is called as Godhanda Rahu. This is one kind of yoga told in astrological Books.(Dhanur Rasi+Rahu Graha)
Bhava+Graha
If sun and Mercury together placed in 1-4-8,it is called as Budhaadhitya yoga.( 1-4-8 are houses+sun and Mercury are Grahas)
Graha+Graha
If mars is placed in Kendra houses from Moon, it is called as Chandra-managal Yoga.(Graha+Graha)
