Generally the medicines are extracted from the following:-
1. Metals and Minerals
2.Plants and Herbs
3. Animals.

In Astrology
6th house is disease
12th house is medicine
The opposite houses are of same nature. For example Aries and Libra both are metal signs. Homeopathy medicine follows the principle of similarity.
If the medicine is selected based on the nature of sign in which 6th house falls , then the disease can be easily cured.
Example
For Aries Ascendant the 6th house falls in Virgo , Virgo is an animal sign. The medicine extracted from Animal product will be helpful to the native.
