Some Combinations leading to Doshas

According to Nandi Nadi, certain doshas arise as a result of planetary combinations. However, these can be easily rectified by performing austerities during the respective horas of afflicted planets on related week days. These rules apply to charts of both men and women. The location of planets to be considered are in any of the a) 1-5-9 or; b) 3-7-11 or; c) 2-12 positions from rashis or their location in the same nakshatra pada. Two planet combinations are:
Surya + Shukra : In a chart, if Venus were to be located in the same Nakshatra pada – three to twenty degrees from the Sun, then putradosha is to be seen. The remedy for such a combination is to worship Mahalakshmi, Shukra’s presiding deity on a Sunday during Ravi hora or to worship Shiva, the presiding deity of Surya on a Friday during Shukra hora.
Surya + Shani: The location of Saturn at 1-5-9 or 3-7-11 or 2-12 rashis away from Surya indicates both Pitru dosha and Putra dosha in any chart, whether male or female. Surya is both a pitru karaka and a putra karaka, hence both the doshas. The pariharam or remedy for such a dosha is to worship Shiva, Shani’s presiding deity on a Sunday in Surya hora or to worship Shiva on a Saturday during Shani Hora.
Chandra + Budha: Budha positioning himself in 1-5-9 or 3-7-11 or 2-12 rashis away from Chandra portends chanchalatwa or fickle-mindedness leading to nefarious thinking. The remedy for this is to worship Vishnu, Budha’s presiding deity on a Monday during Chandra hora or to worship Gowri, the presiding deity of Chandra on a Wednesday during Budha hora.
Chandra + Shukra: Shukra posited in 1-5-9 or 3-7-11 or 2-12 from Chandra’s rashi leads to unnecessary financial expenditure, loss of vehicles and wealth and also questionable character. The remedy for such a combination is to worship Mahalakshmi on a Monday during Chandra hora or to worship Gauri on a Friday during Shukra hora.
Chandra + Shani: The location of Shani at 1-5-9 or 3-7-11 or 2-12 rashis away from Chandra causes undue delay in respects to their karakatwas. Amongst the many karakatwa of both, Shani represents work, elder brother, etc and Chandra represents mother (before marriage and mother-in law after marriage), travel, etc. And these delays may show up frequently in many ways. The remedy for this is to worship Shiva on a Monday during Chandra hora or to worship Gauri on a Saturday during Shani hora.
Angaraka + Budha: Budha’s location in 1-5-9 or 3-7-11 or 2-12 rashis away from Kuja gives rise to a dosha relating to education and earning knowledge. It also leads to difference of opinions between brother and sisters leading to disputes. The remedy for this is to worship Vishnu on a Tuesday during Kuja hora or worship him on a Wednesday during Budha hora. Worship of Kartikeya on a Wednesday during Budha hora also helps.
Kuja + Shani: Shani distanced himself in 1-5-9 or 3-7-11 or 2-12 positions away from Mangala leads to a dosha relating to work or profession. Such a combination leads to frequent changes in job and dissatisfaction on the job front. In a women’s chart this could indicate difficulties with marriage. The remedy for this is to worship Shiva on a Tuesday during Kuja hora or to worship Subramanya Kartikeya on a Saturday during Shani hora.
