The word “pastiose” describes a stroke that is thick and doughy looking.
Pastocity or Pastiosity - Extra flow of ink from the pen to the paper.
- Extra gratification of one or more senses in a negative or positive manner.
- Pastocity is either negative or positive.
- Pastocity is found in all three handwriting zones.
- Our senses can be gratified positively or negatively.
Positive Pastocity

- Liking for food
- Likes good dressing.
- Need for music.
Use of thick pen is positive pastocity.

Negative Pastocity
Negative Pastocity.
- Cutting Blotting Scratching.
- Re-writing or scratching is negative pastocity.
- Watching graphic violent movies.
