The word “pastiose” describes a stroke that is thick and doughy looking.
Pastocity or Pastiosity - Extra flow of ink from the pen to the paper.
  • Extra gratification of one or more senses in a negative or positive manner.
  • Pastocity is either negative or positive. 
  • Pastocity is found in all three handwriting zones.
  • Our senses can be gratified positively or negatively.

Positive Pastocity

Positive Pastocity
  • Liking for food
  • Likes good dressing.
  • Need for music.
Use of thick pen is positive pastocity.

Negative Pastocity

Negative Pastocity.
  • Cutting Blotting Scratching.
  • Re-writing or scratching is negative pastocity.
  • Watching graphic violent movies.
