Rahu

Rahu is the most tamas-planet which keeps absorbing all kinds of energy of the planet sitting with it like a black hole. Sunlight during solar eclipse and moon light during lunar eclipse does not reach the earth. Lack of sunlight suffers self-power. Lack of moon light suffers morale.
The effects of afflicted planets can be effective in many ways. It is not necessary that the effect of the afflicted planet will always be directly detrimental, because many times the native himself, knowingly and unknowingly, prefers the state of production due to the influence of the afflicted planet.
